1. Introduction

Welcome to Sokoo. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Sokoo mobile application and services provided by Compel Innovations Ltd ("Company", "we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the Sokoo app, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

Please read these Terms carefully before using our services. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you may not use our services.

2. User Registration

To use Sokoo services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old or have parental/guardian consent
  • Register for an account using a valid Ghanaian mobile phone number
  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • Keep your account credentials secure and confidential
  • Not share your account with others or create multiple accounts

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Services Provided

Sokoo provides the following digital payment services:

  • Mobile airtime top-up for all Ghanaian networks (MTN, Telecel, AirtelTigo)
  • Data bundle purchases
  • Utility bill payments (electricity, water)
  • TV subscription payments (DStv, GOtv, StarTimes)
  • Other digital payment services as may be added from time to time

4. User Obligations

As a user of Sokoo, you agree to:

  • Use the service only for lawful purposes
  • Not use the service for any fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Provide accurate information for all transactions
  • Ensure sufficient funds are available for transactions
  • Not attempt to circumvent security measures
  • Not interfere with or disrupt the service
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

5. Payment and Transactions

All transactions are processed in Ghanaian Cedis (GHS). By initiating a transaction, you authorize us to debit the specified amount from your selected payment method. Transaction fees may apply and will be displayed before confirmation.

Once a transaction is confirmed, it cannot be reversed. Please verify all details before confirming any payment.

6. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if:

  • You violate these Terms and Conditions
  • You engage in fraudulent or suspicious activities
  • You provide false or misleading information
  • Required by law or regulatory authorities

You may request to delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting our support team. See our Account Deletion page for more information.

7. Privacy Policy

Your use of Sokoo is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Compel Innovations Ltd shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Loss of profits, data, or business opportunities
  • Service interruptions caused by factors beyond our control
  • Actions of third-party service providers

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.

10. Dispute Resolution

In the event of any dispute, we encourage you to first contact our customer support team for resolution. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, it shall be settled through arbitration in accordance with the Alternative Dispute Resolution Act of Ghana.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our app or website. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
